ORCHARD GIRLS WIN AGAIN

A goal in each half against Kildare, from forwards Niamh Henderson and Emily Druse, helped Armagh secure a fifth consecutive win in the Ladies’ National Football League at Silverbridge on Sunday.

Armagh led by 7 points at halftime, with some well worked scores and a fantastic goal from Clann Eireann girl Niamh Henderson. With the breeze on their backs the orchard girls and top scorer Niamh Reel really went at the Lillywhites defence. Reel had another fine game, this time at her home club, where she finished the day with 0.06 (2f).

Armagh have two games left in the league (Waterford away and Meath at home) and are in pole position for yet another league final in Croke Park.
