Top striker, Declan Monaghan was Newry side, Cleary Celtic’s two goal hero in last year’s 2-1 win over Sandy Hill in the Mid Ulster Shield Final played at the BMG Arena at Annagh FC.

Monaghan and his hooped compatriots return to the Portadown venue this evening (21.2.25 for 7.45pm kick off) in the first of two semi-finals involving teams from the Carnbane League.

Clearly, Celtic will battle it out tonight with Dungannon side West End Hibs, and on Friday, 28.2.25, at the same venue and time, Daniel Forde’s Newry Celtic will face Glenavy FC in a second semi-final.

Cleary boss John Hogg will be hoping his Carnbane Premier Division leaders can reach their fourth Mid Ulster Shield final in a row and possibly set up a South Down clash with old rivals, Newry Celtic.
